TMU Medicine

Your Kira step
Six timed questions, video and written, November 19 to 22, 2026.
The Kira Assessment Masterclass: a step-by-step coaching program for TMU Medicine, Western's ABS, Kira interviews and US programs. For medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and every other health program that uses Kira.
Built and taught by Arvin Ardakani, a final-year medical student. In Pro and Elite, you work with him one-on-one.
Powered by the ARVIN Method: 15 checks, one score out of 20, built for one take.
You see the question, you get a few seconds to think, and the camera starts. When the timer runs out, that's your answer.
Most applicants prepare by reading lists of questions. Then the real prompt appears, the first 20 seconds go to "um", and the best part of their story gets cut off by the clock.
You don't need more questions. You need a system you can run in one take.
Kira Talent is the platform many schools use for timed video and written assessments and for online interviews. On a video question, you get preparation time, then you record one timed answer while the question stays on screen. Written questions have no preparation time. Kira: types of questions

Original ExperienceMED practice prompt. Not a real Kira question. Training timer: 30 seconds to prepare, 90 seconds to answer.
Prompt: Describe a moment when someone you were trying to help didn't want your help. What did you learn about yourself?
Model answer (illustrative, written for teaching)
A resident I was helping once refused my help, and it taught me that real help starts with asking what someone wants. It was last summer, at a seniors' residence where I helped residents video-call their families on tablets. He kept waving me away and telling me he didn't need help.
At first I felt a bit rejected, and I assumed he was being difficult. Then I realised I'd been treating "helping" as doing the task for him, when what mattered to him was staying independent.
So I changed my approach. I asked him what he wanted to be able to do on his own, we wrote large-print steps together, and I sat beside him while he pressed every button himself. By the third week, he called his granddaughter without me.
Looking back, I'd ask that question on day one, not in week two.
Now I start by asking people what help looks like to them, whether it's a classmate, a teammate or, one day, a patient. Last month, tutoring a younger student, I asked her first, and she told me she only wanted me to check her work. That saved us both an hour.
The story takes about a quarter of the time. Thinking, learning and growth get the rest.

No. Every prompt is an original ExperienceMED exercise. Arvin never shares real or recalled questions, and you shouldn't use them.
With the ARVIN Method, Arvin's marking system built from how Kira tells its reviewers to score: five areas (Answer, Reasoning, Values, Insight, Natural communication), 15 checks a reviewer can see or hear, and a score out of 20 for every answer, so you always know your one next fix.
